A care product that is more natural than almost any other is the natural sponge. The wonderfully soft skin pampering products were valued for their properties in ancient times – and are still unrivaled today. The fiber of the natural sponge is similar to silk and can absorb and release a lot of water. In contrast to artificial sponges, natural sponges do not consist of closed air bubbles, but rather of a channel system in which every pore is connected to every other pore. This leads to excellent hygiene properties, which allergy sufferers particularly appreciate – as dirt is simply rinsed out of the sponge and a long shelf life is guaranteed. In addition to the large natural sponges, there are also the so-called silk sponges, which are particularly suitable for facial and baby care due to their compact size and silky-soft feel. The sum of all these properties makes showering or bathing with natural sponges a sensual experience that refreshes body and mind. And because the use of nature goes hand in hand with respect and appreciation, all of Kost Kamm’s natural sponges are taken from the Mediterranean under controlled conditions in accordance with the Fisheries Act.
